Facilities

The Mission of the WSD Facilities Department is to Serve. We proudly serve our district by providing custodial, maintenance and grounds personnel to ensure safe, clean, well-maintained, functional, and aesthetically pleasing facilities for students, staff members, visitors, and our community as a whole.

The Department is comprised of three individual, but closely related groups as follows:

Custodial Operations – Our Custodians are very busy and happy to serve. They are not only responsible for the cleanliness of each school but also for setting up classrooms, painting, maintaining the sports courts, setting up and tearing down for performances, and assisting administrators and staff.
Grounds Operations – The groundskeepers in our district take pride in the grounds of the school in which they are assigned to maintain. On any given day they are mowing, edging, spraying, pruning, working on our sports field setup, pressure washing, spreading rock and bark, and completing general grounds clean up.
Maintenance Operations – We have a small but busy maintenance staff. With crafts and trades people working in locks, electrical, heating and air conditioning, vehicle maintenance and building. This group works hard to be a support service to all of the schools and district staff.

Our Facilities Department Serves this community by providing safe, clean, orderly facilities which enhance the learning environment for our community, staff and students at the Woodburn School District
